The Hippo

The legend of the Canadian house hippo is told to new generations through tall tales and distant memories of a humorous early 2000s commercial. To most of the world, it's a funny little fib about media literacy.

But to those in Canada and the eastern United States, it is in fact a debilitating infestation that can lead to thousands in damaged property, psychological distress, and due to recent online trends, death.

You face one such infestation. Your home has been invaded, and you must survive 3 days while trying to keep the problem at bay until the exterminators arrive.

The Game

The Hippo is a horror-driven 3D survival clean up. 

You return from a long day to find your house a mess. It's infested with house hippos intent on making it theirs. A message left on the phone states that the company you were waitlisted with for pest control has had an opening.

You just have to make it 3 days and keep the mess at bay. But these hippos... seem a little more aggressive than you've been told...

• First person horror
• Supplies management for various cleaning tasks
• Mess increases while supplies decreases as the hippo becomes more aggressive
• Small lore to find about the protagonists (recent) past
• Secret mode to discover
• Swanky 90s vibe
• 20-40 minutes of gameplay
  • The game will remember if you've found secrets and what day you're on (1-3) Press the reset button on the main menu to reset things.
  • The game does have a degree of difficulty. Depending on how well you adapt, it may take you longer than this time to complete it.
  • Also, it does get hard on the third day. I'm not changing this. It's working as intended. :)
